God Is with Us

Surrender your anxiety. Be still and realize that I am God. I am God above all the nations, and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.

Is there anything on your heart and mind today that you need to surrender to Jesus? In our current times it may be hard to be still. There are so many wonderful things that we have access to at the touch of our finger tips and yet there is still much anxiety and depression in the world today. Our peace is a person and his name is Jesus. In life our circumstances can try to overshadow the truth that Abba and Jesus are in control. Do not let the enemy lie to you and make you anxious for anything. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-27, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” It is up to us to change the way we think. The world will cause us to plan, strive, and act on our problems and circumstance. It is easy for the mind to wonder and attempt to fix everything. In that moment we are supposed to Selah.

Selah means to pause in his presence. Let us take our thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. As we develop a kingdom mindset and release our cares and anxieties on our savior Jesus we will experience peace. Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Take time today to pause in the presence of the Almighty. There is nothing too big or too small to bring before the Lord. We have an ever present God who loves us and listens to us always. In Deuteronomy 31:6 it says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” His love and compassion can and will wash away all doubt and fear. Choose to trust him and His timing for He will work all things together for your good.

I pray you will surrender any burdens and heaviness weighing on you today. I pray you will see the Father and Son who love you and see His goodness in the land of the living. In Jesus name. Amen!
