Choose Love

“Is this the one who relies on the Lord? Then let the Lord save him! If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!”

Beloved,

Many people may not understand your walk of faith. There will be those who discredit your words, choose to harden their hearts, and don’t believe your testimony. The best thing we can do for those who choose not to hear or discern your walk: is to love them and pray for them. It is easy to love those who love you but it can be difficult to love those who hurt you, use you, lie to you, and even talk bad about you behind closed doors. Jesus reminds us in Mark 12:29-31, “”Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

It is so easy to catch offenses and hold onto them. The enemy prefers us to be offended and will add fuel to the fire. He will, not might, but will whisper things in your ear like: how could they say that, so your opinion doesn’t matter, you have a sarcastic response for that comment say it, they won’t listen anyway, and if the He loved you so much why would He allow them to be against you. It is our job, however, to add water to the flame and extinguish it. We may not understand what people are going through and why they are acting or even reacting in a certain manner but we can take a step back, breathe, and see the situation for what it is: temporary. In the bigger picture those words and actions do not define you: our Abba Father and Jesus define you.

Let us learn to forgive quickly and love past our emotions and feelings. For love is a person. When we choose Jesus, we choose all of his attributes. We choose to not let our flesh and soul dictate how we treat ourselves and others. In Jeremiah 29:11 Abba says, “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” Only Abba and Jesus know your beginning to the end and will work all things out for your good. This does not mean all things will be good but he will turn them around and produce new things in you and through you. So when people mock you saying, “Is this the one who relies on the Lord?” Rest assured today that our Abba Father and Jesus will save you, rescue you, love you, and provide for you. Do not let people, circumstances, or the enemy persuade you from this truth. I have seen in my own life, someone I love, mock me for believing that what they would try to take away the Lord will provide and sustain. Those words I spoke, I spoke by faith with tears running down my face. I know every tear our Abba in Heaven collects and repays. I have seen him bless me and continue to bless and provide for me. Since then I have forgiven and prayed for my loved one knowing that moment was temporary and that no person, spirit, or devil could stop the plans that Abba has for me and those who believe! He is faithful to His word and you can trust in Him. There is nothing to great for our Abba and Jesus. He loves us in the mist of every circumstance and embraces us.

I pray that your eyes are opened to see your Abba Father and Jesus with you in every circumstance. I pray that you will see things from His perspective knowing that the currency of Heaven, (Love), will sustain you and help you in your life, relationships, and walk with Him. Be strong and believe. In Jesus Name. Amen!
