Philippians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭(MSG)

Focused on the Goal

“But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He’ll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him.”

Beloved,

What a glorious hope we have to look forward too, the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Be encouraged and reminded today through Jesus we are Citizens of Heaven. Through His sacrifice we are joint heirs with Jesus, Hallelujah! Jesus is the Good Shepard that will sustain and give us a long blessed life here on earth. In John 10:10 Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” As we wait on the day for our savior to come and retrieve us, let us wait expectantly while enjoying his blessings. We as the body of faith get to look forward to all the promises in-store for us. In 2 Corinthians 1:20 it says, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” Let us continually come into agreement with the Lord and all He wants to do for us. For He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us by the Holy Spirit.

In todays day and age we are blessed to have His word so near. In Romans 10:8-9 Paul reminds us, “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” We are blessed today to have the Word accessible to us in many different ways. We can take time to meditate, read, proclaim, and dwell in His goodness. No one knows the day or time of His return. But what we do know about this mystery is revealed in 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, “Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The last enemy to be put under Jesus feet is death and when He returns for His bride (all those who believe in Him) we shall be taken up and transformed made beautiful and whole.

I pray that you will hold fast to the hope of Jesus return. I pray that you will not let your heart be troubled by what you see and hear in the world today but rest assured that Jesus will return for all whom He loves and all who love Him. In Jesus Name. Amen!
