Isaiah 43:2 (AMP)

The Savior of Israel

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."

Beloved,

In every circumstance our God is with us. You are never alone. Jesus is our Emmanuel (God with us). The word (Jesus) is so near to us and our mouth. When you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Let your faith arise to see our Savior in new ways and believe He will always be there for you. In the book of Daniel three Hebrew boys believed the Lord would protect them. Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah most commonly know as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did not weaver in there faith. In the mist of adversity, authority, and uncertainty they stood strong. They told the king in Daniel 3:16-18, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” Wow! I pray for all of us to have such strong and unwavering faith that no matter the circumstances or whom you may face that you will be bold and have faith in our one true God. Just as it is written in 2 Timothy, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” Let us hold fast to what our Abba Father has given us.

The king in the book of Daniel became furious at the response of Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. He commanded the furnace be heated seven times hotter than normal. Little did the king know seven is a number of spiritual perfection to our God. He ordered Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah to be bond fully dressed and thrown into the furnace. The guards who were in charge to fulfill the decree were killed by the flames due to the intense heat. Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah fell into the flames fully bound. As moments passed the king Nebuchadnezzar went to the furnace and was surprised. He questioned his advisors on how many men were thrown into the fire. In his astonishment he shouted, “Look! I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Look at our Jesus! He removes strongholds and things that try to keep us bound. I love how even the king who wanted self worship, to be idolized, and did not believe in Jesus recognized Him. Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were saved by Jesus and the king called them out of the fire. As they walked out of the furnace everyone notice the fire did not touch them, not a single hair singed, the clothing was not scorched, and they did not smell like smoke. It was decreed after this for everyone to worship our one true and living God. For this reason Isaiah wrote, When you pass through the waters I will be with you, through the rivers they will not overwhelm you, and through the fire they will not burn you. Jesus is always with you and will continue to walk with you in every circumstance.

I pray that your eyes are opened to see our very present loving savior Jesus. I pray that you will lean into him no matter the circumstance and believe he will work all things together for your good. In Jesus Name. Amen!
