2 Corinthians 1:20-22 (MSG)

Abba Offers Comfort to All

“Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete.”

Beloved,

Rest assured today the work Abba and Jesus began in you will flourish. Through our High Priest and King Jesus we receive our yes. It is up to us to come into agreement and hold fast to the promises spoken over our lives. In Isaiah 43:26 Abba tells us to put him in remembrance. Thanks to Jesus we can come boldly before the throne as children of the Most High God. We can remind our Abba and Jesus of the promises spoken in His word over our lives. As we come into agreement with Him we will see our Heavenly Father and Jesus hands move. Jesus said in Matthew 7:7-11 , “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Our enemy the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy but our loving Jesus came to give us life and a life more abundant here in the land of the living.

Many things in life will raise us up and bring us down. But it is our job to keep our eyes focused on Jesus. Sometimes it can feel like we are in a wilderness with all of life challenges in front of us. Even the Israelites in the wilderness with Moses was never left or forsake by our Abba Father. In Numbers 21:8-9 the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.” Just like the Israelites that were bitten by snakes we who are bitten by life situations can focus our eyes on Jesus and live the life He has called us to live.

Let us hold fast to Jesus love, peace, and grace like the apostle Paul. In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 we receive Paul’s testimony and interaction with Jesus, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Let us grow into total dependence on God. As we allow the truth of who He is and who we are to Him take root in our lives it allows us to wholeheartedly trust Him. Abba and Jesus gave us dominion and power on earth. In Proverbs 18:21 we are told the power of life and death is in the tongue. Jesus told us in Matthew 18:18, “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Let us bind the lies of the enemy and speak Abba and Jesus truth over our lives.

I pray as you begin to speak the Word over your life you will see Abba and Jesus hands move in your life. Trust today that the promises of God will be fulfilled. In Jesus Name! Amen.
